ChartHop Product Updates: July 2025

The latest product updates from ChartHop make it easier than ever to understand how your org operates and the people within it. From new ways to understand working groups to a new way to visualize data across multiple dimensions, our team has been hard at work to improve visibility and insight at all levels. See How Work Actually Gets Done: Matrix Teams in ChartHop

Matrix Teams (aka Custom Groups, currently in Alpha) are here and they go way beyond simple tags. ChartHop lets you define group templates and custom roles and track membership over time using Time Travel. That means you’ll always know who was on what team, when. 

Once set up, you can use Matrix Teams across the platform in filters, dashboards, resources, and more. It’s a smarter way to manage how work truly gets done across your org.

Visualize Your Data Across Dimensions with Data Explorer

ChartHop’s Data Explorer (currently in Alpha) is a brand new way to visualize your data. This full-screen view makes it easier than ever to uncover insights across your people and business data. It’s built for exploration, with interactive charts and a brand-new Bubble Chart that lets you visualize four dimensions of data at once. Spot trends in compensation, tenure, performance, and more – all in one graph.

Access Forms and Time Off in the ChartHop Mobile App

At the beginning of the year, we launched ChartHop’s new mobile app – built for people on the go. What started as a simple directory now lets you fill out forms, submit and approve time off, and even finish a task on mobile that you started on desktop (or vice versa). It works seamlessly with surveys, onboarding, and performance reviews, making it easy for you to stay connected and productive on the go.

From Feedback to Feature

Finally, here are eight product updates aimed to make workflows smoother – all based on real feedback from our users. 

🗺️ Multi-language - Global teams thrive when they feel included—now ChartHop speaks their language. Our platform and mobile app are now available in French (Canadian and European), German, and Spanish, helping you connect with every employee, everywhere.

🔀 Scenario Updates - Need to delete sensitive info or edit your reasoning for a new job request? Comments can now be edited or deleted within scenarios. Also, you can now compare two different scenarios on the Impact tab.

📊 Dashboard Updates - Dashboard creation just got so much easier - we’ve improved our drag & drop functionality for charts, as well as added a way to copy a chart to a different dashboard, with all its filters and configuration intact.  

📝 Turnover customization - Theres no one way to calculate turnover – you now have the ability to choose whether turnover is calculated by taking the average headcount of each month divided by 12 or by taking the midpoint!

📍 Rounding settings - Configure settings for how different numeric types are rounded throughout the platform, adding consistency and more control at your fingertips for how data is displayed.

📅 Announce date - Sync over Announce Date when processing Departs and Hires so your data can come over whenever it’s ready without displaying to the rest of the org before you’re ready.

📸 Screenshot Mode - Screenshot mode is perfect for those times when you need to quickly capture the org chart as you see it on screen. Screenshot mode turns the background from gray to white and removes PTO information and peer numbers and arrows.

⌛️ Time off updates - You’ll see a lot of updates to your policies! You can prorate new hire balances, filter the payroll export page to see specific policies, and edit dates in time off requests.
